When using a microscope, lighting is crucial for obtaining detailed images, but it can also present a common challenge: reflected light, which makes visualization difficult and reduces image quality.

This phenomenon occurs when light reflects off a surface, scatters, and enters the user's eyes, making it harder to observe fine details and affecting the overall image quality.

To minimize this issue, various solutions are used, such as anti-reflective coatings, coaxial illuminators, polarizers, and gooseneck or oblique illuminators.

TAGARNO has developed an innovative solution to tackle this challenge: the new “Glare Removal” feature. With just the press of a button, this function automatically controls the ring light and captures the image from different lighting angles, combining them to create a glare-free view.

With this new feature, TAGARNO microscope users can obtain clearer and more precise images, significantly improving the quality of their inspections and analyses. Now, eliminating reflected light in a microscope is easier than ever, allowing for more effective work and higher-quality results.

Steps to Access This New Feature:

  1. Go to https://tagarno.com/firmware-download/
  2. Download firmware 8.10
  3. Connect the TAGARNO ring light to your microscope using a USB cable.
  4. Activate the feature in the microscope settings.
  5. Perform a white balance calibration to optimize lighting.
  6. Press the Snapshot button.

By following these steps, the microscope will capture and combine a series of individually illuminated images to create a final image free of unwanted light reflections.

It’s important to mention that this feature is included with firmware 8.10, available for MOVE, FRONT, TREND, and PRESTIGE microscopes.

Additionally, this innovative feature is now part of the standard features in new TAGARNO microscopes, designed to inspect and analyze extremely small objects, such as PCBs.
